“Nathan Felix has plied his trade on both sides of the Atlantic, but he’s never been closer to his home state of Texas. The big skies and alpine mountains of West Texas have called to him, singing of romantic sunsets, lost loves, and Lone Star beers soaking up the resulting tears. Ten tracks take us along on a ride from Austin to Odessa, Marfa to Laredo, and home to ol’ San Antone, the wind in our hair thick with three-part harmonies, and honky tonk walls echoing with crying pedal steel guitar. When he sings “I’m Texas born and Texas bred, and I’ll love you ‘til the day I’m dead,” he might be singing to his lover, or to the rebel state he still calls home.”
I’m currently working on completing my first country album, Texas Born Texas Bred with engineer Bill Baird. It’s in the process of being mixed by Lucas Oswald and mastered by Justin Perkins for a late fall 2026 or spring 2027 release. In the meantime, you can catch me playing country music in Austin (Dirty Rotten Boys), Brooklyn (The Legion) and Nashville (coming soon…).
