My next single is <i><a href=\"spotify:album:2nN6js3eQY8reU3NQS0oVl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take Me Back to Odessa<\/a> <\/i>which was written as a last minute filler song a few days before for a recording session back in April due to a player cancellation. Originally I was dejected that we had to pivot but I often wonder if this song would have materialized without that alteration. I&#8217;m proud of the results which wouldn&#8217;t have been possible without all the inspired contributions on vocals from Leslie Sisson, Jonathan Nesvadba, Joel Nesvadba, Odie, &amp; P.T. Banks as well as Odie (bass), Ben Humphreys (drums), Phil McJunkins (pedal steel) &amp; Bill Baird (engineer &amp; lap steel). Shout out to Lucas Oswald for the mix and Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering.\u00a0The video was filmed in San Antonio at Roosevelt Park, Palomino, Chifladas and around Southtown. The break was a major mental re-shift for me and truth be told I didn&#8217;t miss being active online or on social media. In fact I am now looking for a new way to balance the marketing needed for my music happenings in a healthier way so I can create more.
